Lamps – Part 6

I have a post I want to write on D/s scene dynamics and pictures from a recent session to share. Unfortunately, what I don’t have is any time. Apparently I can travel or I can blog, but not both.

Instead, while I wait for my schedule to return to sanity, I’ll fall back on an odd but familiar series – submissives as lamps. I usually post a new one of these every few years, but apparently 2023 is a hot year for this kink. I featured one back in May and here’s another to enjoy. This has a submissive footstool as an added bonus.

You can find more from the same photographer via their twitter feed. I originally found this on Madame Is All.

Attentive Table

I was planning to write a final post in my series on AI. Unfortunately, the weekend got away from me and now I don’t have the time. Instead, here is some lovely femdom eye-candy to start the week. I found it via a tumblr post but the discerning reader will recognize the source as the unmistakable Mistress Sybil Fury. She’s obviously a fan of the Scott Paul Humilator Gag.

Mistress Sybil Fury is an NYC based pro-domme. You can find her links to her online sites here.

Making Music

Here’s an unusual type of forniphilia I’ve never seen before – a submissive as a music stand. While most forniphilia looks less practical than the inanimate equivalent, this one actually seems like it might work better. They can both hold and turn the pages as needed.

The photograph comes courtesy of NYCs Lady Harper Chase. I’m sure she’s a very accomplished musician,  but it does strike me that for a devious and less musically talented dominant there’s a great opportunity for unexpected torture here. Get your human music stand all rigged up in place, then pull out an instrument you’ve never played before and try to learn it using the most basic beginner tunes. I’d imagine an hour of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ on a badly played violin would be enough to get most submissives reaching for their safeword.

Original source for the image is via this tweet, photographed by photopupnyc. Lady Harper Chase is a NYC based pro-domme and you can find her professional site here.

Smiles and Champagne

Continuing the happy BDSM theme – here’s a shot from the recent International FemDom Summit in Bucharest. Technically I guess it only shows the dommes smiling. It’s not clear what the footstools think of the whole situation. However, I’m going to assume their happy about it. I think I would be.

I have to admit I wasn’t aware of the Femdom Summit, but judging by their twitter feed it seems like an interesting event with a lot of great attendees. You can read a blog post on it by Mistress Ayn here. There’s also a twitter list of the attendees here.

Lamps – Part 5

Regular and attentive readers will be aware of one of my stranger and longer running series – submissives as lamps. The first entry was back in 2011 and the fourth and last (that I can find) was in 2018. I have a feeling there was another entry a year or two back that was unfortunately lost in the big blog blowup.

Anyway, that’s a longwinded introduction to a 5th (or possibly 6th) entry to the series. Apologies for the delay to everyone out there who have been eagerly awaiting its return. This one comes courtesy of Lady Lux of The Netherlands. Her submissive is so happy about the scene he’s positively glowing.

You can find Lady Lux’s professional site here and her Twitter feed here.

The Latest Cat Cafe

This photograph – courtesy of Mari Cherry – looks like what you’d get if you asked an AI to digest my twitter feed and create a single image to represent it. There’s bondage, nakedness, service, food/drink and a cute pet. It’s a shot with a lovely calmness to it. A lot of forniphilia looks forced and uncomfortable. This looks uncomfortable in just the right way.

Another One Bites the Dust

I was sad to see that Dungeon West in Los Angeles will be closing down in October. Justine Cross has been forced to shutter it as the COVID crisis claims another playspace. I visited it a few times over recent years and always enjoyed the space and the equipment it had.

It’s events like this that make me think it’s going to take many years to recover from the disaster that is 2020. Even a city as populous and wealthy as LA only has a very limited number of playspaces at the best of times. What we lose today will not be quickly recovered. If you have the opportunity to rent local spaces right now, or contribute to their survival in some way, then I’d urge you to do so. It’s a lot easier and more cost effective to keep an existing space going than to try and create new ones.

This is Justine Cross, the owner of both Dungeon West and East in Los Angeles. If you’d like to rent the former, then it’s available till 10/15. In the meantime Dungeon East continues to remain open for rentals.

Be Careful What You Wish For

This problem page letter in the Guardian made me smile. It’s somewhat short on detail but, reading between the lines, I suspect the man concerned was looking for hot kinky sex involving bondage and exciting leather outfits. His wife obviously had other ideas. On being handed the metaphorical and possibly literal whip hand,  she decided that being in charge meant lots of nice massages and minimal amounts of sucking his dick. I feel bad that their kinky needs are obviously not aligned, but he probably shouldn’t be too surprised that his non-kinky wife’s idea of taking charge looked less like a pornhub video and more like a spa day.

I guess it could be worse for him. His wife might decide that what she really wants to do is spend an hour or two with the Sunday papers and a convenient footstool.

Sadly I don’t have a source for this image. I suspect it’s from a UK femdom site from some years back, but my attribution skills have failed me.

History Repeats Itself

Mainstream tech companies being hostile to kink and sex – as I mentioned in  my last post – is nothing new. Some start off friendly and become hostile over time (like tumblr), some are hostile right out of the gate (like Apple). Whatever the route, the end result has been the same for many years.

What I have found surprising is the recent negative feedback on a site created explicitly for adult content –  OnlyFans.  Like Zoom, they’ve been another winner out of the Coronavirus, with a lot of sex workers moving to offering content online. At the same time there have been a lot of threads like this and this highlighting problems content creators have had with it. Rolling Stone followed up on that feedback with an article on the problems here. Apparently this is one of those things baked into the universe like the laws of thermodynamics or planck’s constant. Online platform’s hostility to sex and sex workers grows in proportion to their mainstream success and their corresponding access to conventional funding sources.

Having said all that, I certainly wouldn’t want to discourage people from subscribing. There are a lot of awesome dommes making content on OnlyFans. So if someone you like is publishing on it, then go for it. The majority of the issues seem to be on the creator side, not the consumer side.

On the flipside, if you’re thinking of setting up an OnlyFans site, then it might be worth looking at all the options. I’ve recently seen a significant movement towards the AVN Stars site. I’ve no personal experience of that, but anecdotally there seem to be less complaints from content creators.

This is a shot from the always amazing Domina Yuki. She’s a domme with great content published on both an OnlyFans account and an AVN Stars account. Based on this tweet it seems like her bias is toward AVN Stars.
