Wrapped

I’ve done a lot of plastic wrap scenes, in a variety of different positions, but never a suspended one like this. I’ll have to add it to my bucket list. If you’ve never tried plastic wrap, then I’d absolutely recommend giving it a shot. It doesn’t have the classic appeal of rope or chains, but it can be great for intense scenes. Easy to apply but very immobilizing, making it pretty hard to beat for functionality vs effort needed. Just remember it can pretty hot once you’re swaddled and be sure to keep safety shears nearby. Oh, and if you’re trying it for the time, start with a simple horizontal position, not a suspended one!

Troy Orleans Interview

Petit Mort magazine has a lengthy and fascinating interview with Troy Orleans. As most of my readers probably know, Troy is a world class domme and rigger based in NYC. I can speak to her skills from experience – for example here and here. She’s always one of the first people I reach out to when I know I’m heading to NYC.

I’ll probably dig into the article a little more in a future post. In the meantime I’ll leave you with an image Troy shared recently on her Twitter feed. It’s a very sexy shot, although I think exactly why that is would be hard to describe to a non-kinky person. Blurred elbows and ratchet straps aren’t exactly classic pin up material, but I do love this.

More Tip of the Moon

Hanging out with friends in Vegas hasn’t left a lot of blogging time. Plus, with age comes much longer recovery times from any late nights. I now need a good few hours the following day in a quiet darkened room to get over the after effects.

I haven’t yet tried adding bondage to my recovery period, but maybe that might help? It can be comforting. Plus, endorphins are good for hangovers. Although maybe not anything as stringent as that on this young man.

Bridge Variation

I’m not sure if this’d be a good or bad pose for my wonky lower back, but I’d  be willing to give it a shot. My yoga teacher has done a lot of bridge variations with me, but sadly none have featured genital bondage and electroshock therapy.

This was posted by the fabulous Elise Graves. Funnily enough, I remember doing a scene with her in Seattle a few years back where she grabbed my genitals and  pulled hard to ‘encourage’ me into a bridge pose. Clearly it’s a position she enjoys inflicting. I don’t remember getting quite the same back arch as @UtmostRestraint has managed here.

Pet Play

This NY Post story and this associated YouTube video introduced me to a new type of pet play – highly realistic and expensive animal suits. The one featured in the story came in at $14,000. You can see more on the owner’s twitter account. As far as I can tell it’s not a kinky thing for him, just a type of roleplay or cosplay. Although where this cosplayer leads, I’m sure inspired kinksters will be sure to follow.

In the meantime, if you’re into the not realistic pups, but do prefer the kinky alternatives, then you might want to check out Mockingbird Leather. They produce some lovely looking pet crawler sets like the one below.

Threads

My recent post on Meta was timely, given that they’ve just launched their new Twitter competitor, Threads. Thanks to Elon’s best efforts to run twitter into the ground, Mark Zuckerberg obviously see this an opportunity to spread his data grabbing tendrils even further.

I think it can only be seen as bad news for kinky people and sex workers who use social media. As I wrote before, Meta is famously anti-adult content. There’s zero chance that the kind of adult content I follow on Twitter is going to be allowed on Threads. Users and advertising dollars flowing to it, combined with Elon’s incompetent Twitter leadership,  could end up driving the only adult ‘friendly’ social media site out of business. The idea of Elon Musk losing a ton of money because of that is highly entertaining, but not so entertaining I think it’s worth losing Twitter over.

If you are thinking of signing up for Threads, be aware of the degree of data mining that Meta do. They’ll look at anything they can find – contacts, cell location, wifi networks, account data – to try and build their graph of the world. While you might want to keep kinky and vanilla accounts separate, their goal is to connect everything they can about you, which can lead to very bad outcomes.

To finish a gloomy post, let’s use a happier picture, featuring a very different kind of rope threads. This is from another social media site that fell on hard days – Tumblr. More specifically it’s from the Dudes in Distress tumblr, which is still around but hasn’t been updated in 6+ years.

Roped and Masked

One of the common problems of femdom porn is the use of silly hoods for submissives. When used appropriately hoods can be super hot thanks to their objectifying nature. However, they’re often just simple balaclavas or loose gimp masks being used to hide the identity of the amateur/volunteer submissive. See my past two posts for some thoughts on that topic.

One of things I’ve really missed this year is travelling to NYC and playing with Troy Orleans and Mistress Tess. As well as both being fabulous dommes, they’re also voracious collectors of equipment and fetish gear. I’ve had some really intense experiences with them and their collections over the years. Small Changes

What is it about putting cuffs in a slightly different place that makes them so much hotter? Ankle and wrist cuffs are great, but there’s something so much more exciting about thigh and calf cuffs like these. It’s a similar story with toe bondage. Toes are small and fiddly to tie up. Objectively less efficient for anchoring someone in place. Yet it’s a very hot type of bondage. Is it simply the rarity value? Or is it the care and attention to detail that non-standard bondage suggests?

Meditative Metal

A final post in my metal bondage series. Where the last two looked pretty intense, this looks almost relaxing. I think it taps into that protected and secured headspace that some bondage can create. Although having said that, now I look closely, those metal thumbcuffs might be a touch intense. It’s often the little things that can mess with your mind the most.
