Edging

This comic – by Luck of the Draw – made be smile. However, at the risk of being pedantic about a comic, there is a significant flaw in the premise. As I covered in my last post, arranging to meet a pro-domme for the first time is not a trivial thing. Anyone shooting Dawn a 1 line email asking her to come by and edge them on Monday afternoon is going to be disappointed.

I guess the reverse situation would be worse. Imagine expecting a sultry domme with a party sized jar of lube and opening the door to a sweaty guy sporting a weed wacker. That’d be a libido killer. Unless of course, you’re into that kind of thing.

Travelling

I’m taking a few days vacation. Posting may therefore be a little erratic. I shall endeavour not to get horribly behind my post queue.

I felt like I deserved some time in the sun away from both work and the Seattle gloom. It’s pretty grey this time of year. First week is relaxing with friends, second week is just me and a chance for some kink. Of course, if my work looked anything like this then I’d probably never leave the office.

15th (ish) Year Anniversary

I just realized that this blog has reached its 15 year anniversary. In fact it reached it back in September and I totally missed it. Happy belated anniversary to me and it.

Looking back to a post I made for the 10 year milestone, I’m amused to note that I was hoping to be retired by now and have freed up time for more personal projects. Unfortunately, shortly after writing that post, I did pretty much the opposite of retiring and joined an early stage tech startup. Not a move I’d recommend for anyone looking to wind down their work life. That has really killed my free time for the last few years and definitely impacted my blogging. Hopefully, between now and the 20 year version of this post, I can actually retire and reclaim some time for kink, writing and travel. Future me – don’t fuck this up.

An anniversary is typically celebrated with cake and candles. I don’t have any cake to share, but here’s some candles. Luckily for the gentleman concerned, not 15 of them.

Happy Thanksgiving

It’s the end of November, which means only one thing in the US – Thanksgiving. That means blogs like this one are obliged to make stuffing related posts. I think that’s actually one of the amendments to the constitution. So here we go, with a young farmhand putting one of those hands to good use.

For those based in the US that celebrate the holiday, I hope you have a good one. For everyone, at least it’s almost the weekend.

Deep Throat

This originally caught my eye just because I thought it was a cute – and hot – pegging scene. I’m always a fan of being face to face rather than the more common doggy style.

However, on researching it, I realized it’s also fan art of Spike and Buffy of vampire slaying fame. Which makes me love it even more, given I’m a huge fan of the characters and the show. Buffy was totally the top in that relationship, whatever Spike might have thought.

The artist is Auia AKA awabubbles. Sadly, they’ve not posted for years and most of what they have posted is M/m. Still I’ll take a little spuffy loving when I can find it.

Reducing Anxiety

The NY Post has an article suggesting spanking can reduce anxiety and interrupt fretful thought loops. It’s probably just an excuse to feature a sexy pic or two, but I’ll take a mainstream article with a positive spin on kink. Particularly one that’s gender neutral and doesn’t take male dominance as the default.

I always used to find thwacky impact play soothing, but in the last year or so it has been more of a mixed bag. I think my skin has got more sensitive as I’ve got older and sometimes blows will trigger itching and an unpleasant heat. Maybe I just need to moisturize more. Certainly when I can get into the right zone, a good spanking is a lovely way to destress.

I’m not sure of the source of this photograph. I have a suspicion it’s really old. Not 100% sure but it reminds me of a spanking series that was floating around on usenet 20+ years ago.

Grief Encounter

This site gave me  bit of a scare this week. First I couldn’t update or create new posts. Then I couldn’t log in at all. Fortunately, the hosting company has efficient technical support and got it all sorted out. Normal service has been resumed.

I was actually a little surprised at how concerned I was. I’ve been blogging for a longtime now. When I started I had daily posts. Now it’s more like 3 or so a week. I occasionally wonder if/when I’ll stop. Based on my reaction to the technical gremlins, it probably will not be soon. Felt very weird not being able to log in and post.

Anyway, back to the Femdom salt mines, digging up imagery and links of interest. Here’s a nice case in point. The image is from a short film caused ‘Grief Encounter’.  It features a woman picking up people at funerals to take advantage of their ‘overwhelmed’ state.

The film was directed by Ellen Pearson and produced by Erika Lust. If the actress looks familiar, that’s because it is domme Eva Oh, who I’ve featured here before.

To Nut or Not To Nut

We’re out of Loctober and into No Nut November. It’s just an endless festival of none orgasms at this time of year.

I tend to subscribe to the views expressed in this Stockroom article about No Nut November. Loctober puts the focus on kink and is therefore sex positive. Even if the end result for participants is negative sex. NNN unhealthily shifts the emphasis more to shame and suppressing desire. That’s not surprising given it’s original growth in incel culture.

That said, there are people out there trying to reclaim it and give it a happy new home in kink. For example, the most excellent Maya Midnight posted this to Bluesky.

No Nut November actually started as a lame anti-porn thing but has since become a sexy chastity thing and I just think that’s beautiful

Let’s hope it keeps trending in that direction.
