Committed

Phil left a comment on my last post to the effect that the end of the linked story was pretty dark. That’s fair comment. I enjoyed all the heavy bondage and medical themes, but didn’t love where it left our ‘hero’.

If you like the idea of imprisonment and bondage in a medical setting, but prefer something not quite so dark, then checkout ‘Committed’ over on Literotica. I’ve been on a bit of a hunt for hospital/asylum bondage stores recently, and thought this was one of the better examples around.

I’ll finish with some appropriately themed artwork. This isn’t signed, but I believe it’s by Tilly Monster (Deviant Art and Patreon).

Capturing a Fantasy

I continue to be disappointed with most AI imagery. I had naively hoped that it’d help bring the twisted imaginations of kinky folk to virtual life. Instead it seems to be flooding the world with crappier versions of existing content. It’s actually making it harder to find the genuinely new and original stuff.

However, there is the occasional exception. For example, I think VelvetLash at DeviantArt has been doing some interesting things. Based on his multi-part story ‘The Affair‘ he’s clearly got a kink for heavy medical themed bondage. That shows up in a bunch of his generated images – like this or this or the one below. I’m not sure how much is AI generated vs AI modified vs Photoshop, but it is fun to see something a little different to the usual AI poses.

You can see the original full size version of this here.

Cautionary Tale

I missed covering this story from March of this year: German dominatrix ‘strangled client to death as he dangled from chains’

Apparently the domme had wrapped a chain around her clients neck while he was in a standing position. He then fainted midway through the session. Unfortunately, he was a hefty chap, his weight pulled the chain tight and she wasn’t strong enough be both lift his bodyweight and unhook the chain. He’d strangled to death before the paramedics arrived.

Obviously, the domme screwed up badly by putting something around his neck she couldn’t remove. That’s violating a very basic scene rule. However, I think it’s also a reminder to submissives that they need to look after their own safety. Always think about what would happen if you fainted or had a medical emergency. Scenes always have some risk – particularly if you’re doing complex bondage or sharps play. But it’s always OK to step back from a set-up and ask for changes. While most pro-dommes are careful and safety conscious, there’s no formal training or certification needed  to offer sessions. Just because you’re horny and you’ve found an a new domme who looks fantastic, doesn’t mean you should shut your brain off.

I’ll finish the post with artwork by Augustine – an artist who specializes in scenes that are fun fantasies but would be terrible to do in real life.

Rocking Horse #2

Continuing the theme of kinky rocking horses, here’s one created by Nighty. The combination of the high quality costume and the custom made wooden base is an effective one.

I particularly like the addition of the torso support piece here. Not only does that give more fasten points for bondage but I’d imagine it allows you to relax more into the pose, particularly if someone is sitting on your back.  One thing that I think is important in objectification is being able to relax into it. An object just exists. It doesn’t have to constantly work to remain the object. This set-up seems like it’d achieve it better than most.

On the Ladder

This original bondage set-up comes courtesy of Domina Dia Dynasty. I’ve not  seen a ladder used quite like that before.

The vulnerability of the position is appealing, but I think I’d struggle with the stress position and predicament aspect of it. Be tough to relax into the bondage without a lot more rope in support.

Index of Consensual Sexual Sadism

There’s a new way to measure just how sadistic you or your domme is: The  Index of Consensual Sexual Sadism. According to this article in the PsyPost it’s a tool designed to measure sadism in the context of consensual relationships, rather than the more pathological and destructive sadism inflicted non-consensually.

While teasing those two manifestations apart seems a worthy one, there is some bad news in the early findings…

One surprising finding was how consensual sexual sadism was related to marginally worse romantic relationship satisfaction,” Kinrade said. “This suggests that although these tendencies may be practiced consensually, they may nevertheless negatively impact satisfaction in romantic relationships or coincide with other behavioral tendencies that reduce romantic relationship satisfaction.

I don’t think they’ve enough data to say why that is, but I’d speculate that it could simply be due to the difficulty in finding compatible partners. Aligning kinks can be tricky. If your pool of suitable partners is smaller then that is likely to lead to less satisfaction, particularly if you’re not overtly selecting for that kink.

My biggest problem with the article is the picture they chose for the top. It looks less like a sadist in action and more like someone who has just been given a gag gift for a hen night. They need something a little more along the lines of this image.

The Rules

I’ve mused in past posts on the difference between art, erotica and porn. Categorization can be tricky. Fortunately, Mistress Matisse is here with a Bluesky post to clear things up…

I’ve modeled nude for art, and I’ve modeled nude for porn. And here is the way you know which is which.

In art photos:
You don’t wear shoes
You don’t look at the camera
And you don’t smile

So if you’re wearing shoes, looking at the camera, smiling? It’s porn.

NOT doing those things? It’s ART

I think that puts these images from NYCs Mistress Trinity firmly in the porn camp. Smiling – Check. Looking at camera – Check. Shoes – Unclear, but likely Check. Thankfully, while it might be porn, it’s really good fun porn. The best kind.

Jack Vettriano

The Scottish painter Jack Vettriano has passed away at the age of 73. He was a mainstream artist, not explicitly a femdom or fetish one, but kink was clearly an undercurrent in a good amount of his work. I featured two of his paintings in past posts – here and here.

While he had a lot of commercial success he was despised by the critics and art world. This article on him was one of the more positive ones I’ve seen, and even here the writer can’t resist finishing with how he finds his paintings ‘heinous and grim’. It’s a somewhat incoherent article, but I think there’s one thing it gets right…

The main issue for snobby art types like me isn’t the work itself. It’s that he lacked a conceptual edge, a sense of irony and any postmodern self-awareness. He didn’t paint sexy midnight trysts between half-clothed women and Brylcreemed men as a comment on gendered power dynamics or as a riff on art historical depictions of the female nude. He painted them because they were sexy.

There’s something to be said for that. One can enjoy a simpler message without it detracting from other more complex works. Unabashed sexuality and hedonism for the joy of it makes people uncomfortable. Undercutting it – as this writer does by likening it to a greasy double cheeseburger – relieves that discomfort.

They’re not paintings I’d choose to hang on my walls or spend thousands of dollars on. But one can still choose to appreciate them and their openly kinky themes.

This is by Jack Vettriano and entitled ‘Wicked Games’

Gift Wrapped

This post represents something of a blogging trifecta. It keeps my trend of cute artwork for the weekend going, features another new (to this blog) artist, and is also on point topically. This particularly artwork is by ewyuckyloser.

Valentines Day is one of those holidays that never does much for me, regardless of relationship status. This beautifully wrapped young man is at least a much nicer gift idea than the last minute flowers I saw people lining up for at Whole Foods this afternoon.

You can find more from the artist via their Bluesky account and their Deviant Art account.
