Creatively Frugal

It’s always fun to play with fancy equipment and high end toys. I’ve written about those kind of scenes often enough over the years.  However, there’s also a lot of pleasure to be had with pervertibles – regular household objects perverted into kinky use. Anyone can get their freak on with a cupboard full of ropes, gags and whips. It takes extra talent to do so with a handful of change and your local dollar store.

Mistress Hinako recently put up a series of posts – here, here and here – showing her rising to exactly that challenge. She uses plastic wrap, rubber tube, clothespins, stockings, sponges and plastic bags to create a very intense look bondage scene. Total cost of materials? Around three dollars.

Mistress Hinako is a Tokyo based pro-domme. Her professional site is here,  her blog is here and her twitter feed here. If you’d like to see video of her bondage work using a much wider variety of equipment, she has a bondage clinic site here.

Is that a Load Bearing Sub?

I don’t normally like to feature images with big watermarks across the middle of them. However, I’m going to make an exception in this case, because the bondage is just so cool. I’m not exactly sure how it was achieved, but I’d love to try it out. It’s dramatic, aesthetically pleasing and hot in its level of objectification.

This is very clearly by Mistress Chiaki  found via this tweet.

Rope Bondage & Face Torture

This is one of those shots where I like visual and the idea of the scene more than I’d like the reality of it. Face torture is a hard thing to process. There are a lot of sensitive nerves involved and it has a strong psychological effect. We communicate and represent ourselves via our faces, so  distorting it can be surprisingly emotive.

That said, this is a very hot image. The combination of rope bondage with the twisted clamped flesh is particularly effective. It comes courtesy of Mistress Chiaki and this tweet.

Heading South

Much as I love the Pacific Northwest, the first few months of the year can be pretty depressing. It’s damp, cold and grey. That means it’s therefore time for paltego to head south and catch some Californian sun and kink. I’m going to be in Los Angeles for the next few days, sitting by the pool and meeting up with some great LA dommes. Posting may be a touch more erratic than usual, depending how heavily I hit the cocktail bars.

While I’m trying to find my suitcase, I’ll leave you with this image from Brazilian photographer Fabio DaMotta. I found it via this Vice article on him. I personally love this combination of art, decoration and bondage. It’s both beautiful and objectifying in the best possible way.

Chained Hogtie

I typically group chains with handcuffs when it comes to bondage. They’ve got striking visual appeal, they sound great when you ratchet them tight or clink them against each other, but they’re not all that practical. If they’re tight then they’re uncomfortable and if they’re loose then they’re irrelevant.

However, I might have to make an exception for this hogtie set-up by Daddy An Li. The combination of leather and metal is smart, as you get the tight comfortable grip of the leather with the visual and psychological appeal of the chains. Plus, using chains with a hogtie creates the striking juxtaposition of his bent soft body against the tight unyielding metal. It’s a tough bondage position at the best of times and this really up the perceived intensity.

You can see more like this from Daddy An Li on her twitter feed and her Stars AVN site.

Strange Comfort

I’ve been in a bondage frame of mind recently. I think it’s the cold weather. There’s something comforting and relaxing about certain types of bondage. Almost like being gently hugged. That sense of relaxing into an embrace, with no further thought being necessary. Some people like to avoid the chill by cuddling in front of a roaring fire. Others tilt towards layers of rope, tight leather straps and isolation hoods. I think my dream scenario would be to combine the two, with heavy bondage and cuddling in front of a roaring fire. I really need to make that happen someday.

Santa

It’s that time of year again. If you celebrate Christmas then I hope you have a good one. If you don’t, then I apologize for all the nonsense around it. If the holiday time is tough for you then I empathize and commiserate. Thankfully we’ll all be past it soon.

I found this article on the origin of Santa and Father Christmas interesting. I hadn’t realized that there were two separate figures involved and that Saint Nicholas was the patron saint of sex workers. On an entirely unrelated note, I’ve also enjoyed the #duvetknowitschristmas tag on twitter, which reminds me why I like staying at home over Christmas and not dealing with weird family arrangements.

Finally, here’s a nice bondage image from Thee Domasan to finish the post. What a well placed Santa hat.

Heading Towards the Light

For anyone fed up with dark winter nights and holiday festivities, there is good news. In the Northern Hemisphere we just passed the Winter Solstice. That means we’ve turned the corner and are heading back towards lighter times. In just a few days all the holiday nonsense will be over and the days will slowly start getting longer.

Mistress Fox and her submissive marked the Solstice with this beautiful bondage scene. As you might guess, the petals were then beaten off him.

Mistress Fox is a NYC based pro-domme. I can’t find a website for her, but her twitter bio contains contact details for anyone interested in arranging a session.

Centerpiece

We’re heading into the festive season. A time where friends and family gather to celebrate and share food.  For anyone hosting such an event and looking for ideas for a table centerpiece, can I suggest a naked man with candles and rope? Admittedly, he will take up a lot of table space. Wriggling due to hot wax may also be a problem. On the plus side, what a fabulous talking point! Much better than politics or listening to boomers complaining about the young people today. I can imagine several of my more senior female relatives getting a total kick out of this.
