Happy Thanskgiving

It’s Thanksgiving here in America. I always enjoy the holiday, but as an Englishman it doesn’t have the meaning for me that it does for my American friends. They grew up with the idea of turkey in November, where for me that month always meant fireworks and sausages on Guy Fawkes night.

However, I am keen to support the local traditions. For a femdom blog on Thanksgiving I think that means either a kinky pun on the idea of stuffing or a domestic scene featuring a domme dealing with a naked kitchen slave. This year, courtesy of Femme Fatale Films I’ve gone with a combination of both. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in the first shot, but it does look like he’s about to get stuffed with something. I can only hope they keep their kitchen pervertibles in a clearly labelled draw and don’t mix them in with other utensils in the dishwasher.

Worship on her terms

I don’t feature a lot of foot worship shots. It’s not a fetish of mine so it tends to get neglected. I also try and aim for stuff that appeals to both sides of the D/s coin, and most femdom foot worship shots seem very male biased.

I like this one however. Firstly, she has a cool outfit. Secondly, she has a nice smile and seems to be having fun with it. Third and finally, she has a pretty good grip on his ear. The instant she gets bored with the situation, I think he’ll be moving upwards pretty quickly. That is if he wants to remain attached to that ear lobe.

Big smile

Tonight somebody mummified me in plastic wrap, stuck needles in my nipples and electrocuted my cock. I couldn’t be happier. All is right in my particular bit of the world. I’m now sitting on my couch, sore in all sorts of unusual places and drinking a glass of wine.

We didn’t capture any photographs of the session, so instead I’ll finish with a photograph of a chap who looks almost as happy as I am.

Unconventionally hot

Still very busy, so here’s another sexy image to be going along with. It’s not exactly a conventional hot image. Everyone is fully dressed. There’s no sweaty body parts pushing against each other. The setting is clearly posed and artificial. Yet I still find it very sexy. It’s simultaneously formal yet also relaxed, with a nice sense of low key energy to it.

It looks like something from the portfolio of an independent photographer, but I’ve failed to turn up a source. I found it on the Geek Domme tumblr.

Double standards

I cast a pretty wide net when it comes to articles I feature here. I’m not averse to featuring something that’s interesting but with only a loose connection to femdom. This one, entitled ‘The insane double standard for women working in tech‘ is a good case in point.

It highlights a study that found that in performance reviews men get assessed on their actions, where women get assessed on their personality. In 83 reviews of men, just 2 highlighted personality issues, where out of 94 for women, an amazing 71 did. As you might expect, the personality issues highlighted for women were all the usual ones about tone: You’re too pushy, too aggressive, too abrasive. The kind of characteristics that countless men in the workplace display every day of their lives without issue.

I’m not going to try and equate being an effective and forceful worker with dominance. That would be foolish. Sexual preferences are very different to work attitudes, and the goal here is equality of treatment, not the right D/s label. But I think it’s an interesting example of the broader cultural perceptions at work. Society is comfortable with the classic dominatrix trope, as it’s typically perceived as a sexual roleplay targeted for the benefit of men. Yet put a forceful opinionated women in a software company, along with a 100 forceful opinionated guys, and then suddenly people have a problem.

I realize with this image I’m not really helping and I’m continuing to play into the dominatrix trope. Unfortunately, on the tumblrs I frequent, it’s tricky to find a shot of a sensibly dressed female software developer making a solid argument for the design of her database schema. So sexy dominatrix boss it has to be.

Vintage Venus

I’ll finish my trio of vintage themed posts with an obvious tribute to the famous Venus in Furs. This is from the 1930’s, but I’m afraid I don’t have any other background information on it. Despite the relatively poor reproduction quality, I do think it’s quite a beautiful image.

Rope & heels

I love the fact that this very intricate bondage is both beautiful and functional. Shibari is frequently aesthetically pleasing, but can sometimes look impractical for serious play or simply be ornate without restraining. This pulls off all the elements. I particularly like the detailing around his feet and legs. Those heels look painful, but I don’t think he’s going to be getting away.

Implicit associations

Today’s link to ‘thing that’s not really femdom, but I liked it and wanted to share’ is to something called an implicit association test. This is a test which can supposedly uncover associations that you make unconsciously and may not be aware of. It takes about five minutes to do and you don’t need to register if you don’t want to, simply proceed as a guest. There are tests for (allegedly) revealing your instinctive biases on things like skin-tone, weight, religion, etc.

I found the idea fascinating and headed immediately for the sexuality and gender tests. On the sexuality test it reported I had “little to no automatic preference between Straight People and Gay People.” That put me in a neutral group of about 17% of people. Apparently 68% of people taking the test expressed a preference (from slight to strong) for straight people compared to gay people, and 16% for gay people over straight people. Normally being in the middle of any issue is boring, but I was kind of happy to be in that middle bucket.

The gender test result was slightly more surprising. It tested the association between men/women and career/family. For that the standard curve has 76% of people associating men->career and women->family, 17% neutral and only 6.3% associating women->career and men->family. I was in that latter group with a “moderate association of Female with Career and Male with Family”. Apparently (according to the site) our implicit assumptions come from our everyday experiences. Yet I’ve always worked in an environment of >90% men and as a child I was brought up by a stay at home mom and a working dad. That suggests I’m definitely an outlier here. Or that the test is broken.

I’ve no idea how solid the science is behind it, but I thought it was fun to try. Plus, all that talk of gender and careers gives me a chance to feature an everyday office scene. Perhaps she implicitly associates men with doormats?

A cliché subverted

On the face of it this image follows the standard format for foot fetish porn. There are high heels, a naked slave and feet being shoved in his face. Yet, it’s so much more interesting than that overworked fetish shot. There’s a really sense of danger and vulnerability about it. I love his bared throat and the dimple she’s creating in it with that sharp spiked heel. He doesn’t look like he’s lost in his own fetish fantasy, he looks like he’s submitting himself to hers.

This is Thrash and Mistress Trish as photographed by Aeric Meredith-Goujon photography. She’s a pro-domme and sexuality educator based in NYC. I’ve featured this same pair in a previous post. Mistress Trish has some of the most interesting and creative images that I’ve seen from any pro-domme, and her site is well worth exploring.

Sneer it with flowers

I don’t normally feature the stereotypical sneering ice queen femdom. It doesn’t often push my buttons and for anyone who does want it, there’s an almost infinite supply on tumblr. However, this particular example of the type did make me smile. There’s something about stance and expression that makes me think she’s about to start smacking him about the head with the flowers. I picture her stalking away muttering about these ‘goddam perverts who keep showing up and slobbering all over my feet’. Clearly mentioning her extensive shoe and boot collection in her OkCupid profile is attracting entirely the wrong type of suitor.
