Frozen

Lacking any children to entertain I’ve not seen the latest Disney hit Frozen. While I’ve no plans to remedy that anytime soon, I was intrigued to read about a set of handcuffs somebody had built based on those used in the movie. They’re apparently designed to prevent wizardly powers being invoked, and are therefore fearsome metal mittens that cover the entire hand. They even come with a fancy carry case. The effort put into them is impressive, but I wonder if turning up with a BDSM device modeled after a scene in a children’s movie might be more creepy than cool.

This young lady seems to have some wizardly powers all of her own. I’m not sure if she’s responsible for the snow itself, but she’s certainly responsible for making all the gentleman’s clothes disappear. I just hope she’s got an equally good spell for making those high heeled boots grip on icy ground.

Kicks but no licks

I’m safely back from San Francisco after a very enjoyable weekend. Kinky fun was had, and potentially will be blogged about, but I did miss the major kinky event of the weekend – the Dore Alley Fair (AKA the Up Your Alley Fair). I hadn’t realized it was on until a friend who lives in the area mentioned it. He’s not kinky (as far as I know), and doesn’t know about my kinks, so I was amused to here the hushed tones he used to describe it. He made it sound like a cross between Caligula’s court and 120 Days of Sodom, and felt that I’d risk being traumatized should I inadvertently stumble into it.

I was less amused to read this guest post by Denali Winter on Kitty Stryker’s blog about some new rules in place for the fair.

Volunteers and cops alike informed Denali that “no touch that might provoke ejaculation” was allowed, but that they could kick or punch their submissive in the balls as much as they liked.

Even touching a penis in a chastity device was banned, which seems particularly odd given they’re specifically designed to prevent ejaculation. So anyone likely to be traumatized by sucking or fucking is now safe to attend Dore Alley, but those sensitive to people being kicked and beaten should continue to steer clear. It’s a strange set of rules, particularly for a San Francisco street fair, but sadly I’m not all that surprised.

Normal service is restored

I’m back in the big city after an interesting weekend away. While I enjoyed relaxing and reading on a deck overlooking the ocean, being the only single guy in a gathering of many couples was less fun. I didn’t particularly want to take long walks hand-in-hand on the beach, particularly since it rained a lot of the time, but having the option would have been nice.

Anyway, given I’m no longer dealing with a swarm of young children, normal kinky blogging service will be resumed. This seems an appropriate image to return with. It looks more like a lake than an ocean, but it is suitably outdoors and water related. I’m not sure if she’s doing a victory pose or simply a model pose, but either way it makes me smile.

Being useful

I thought I’d continue the public theme from yesterday’s post with this rather cute couple. I like the bowed head and the firm protective hand on the shoulder.

Like a lot of kinky activities, it’s surprising how much complexity and variation there is in public play. For some it’s tied to a humiliation kink. For others its a kind of exhibitionism. Getting away with private play in public is another popular alternative – the hidden butt plug, the covered lacy underwear and the remote controlled electostim. My favorite variation is the helpful submissive. It’s subtle D/s, nothing too freaky and with just an undercurrent of control. Snowpocalypse

It snowed tonight in Seattle. Not much, just an inch or two. Just enough to freak the entire city out. Public transport stopped. Cars slid though red lights like they were mere suggestions. People treated the streets as if they were one big pedestrianized area. Just the usual way Seattle folk react to a regular and predictable winter event.

I like a wintery atmosphere, but can’t imagine making it part of a scene. My list of hard limits is relatively short, but having seen this image I might have to add ‘making naked snow angels’ onto the end of it. Doing it face down seems particularly evil. Let’s hope he can make an angel quicker than frostbite can set in.

Study in contrasts

I like this image, but I’m not sure why. I’m never a big fan of kinky images set in derelict urban environments. It seems such an impractical place to play, and I’ve no fantasies around getting tetanus shots. This combination of wrist rope bondage and a potentially suspended position (if he slips) also doesn’t look too clever. Even if this is really safer than it looks, I’d hate to think of anyone with limited BDSM experience trying to emulate it.

All that said, I think it does work well as an image. I’d guess it’s the contrast between Domina Liza’s very tailored and smart appearance, the obvious decay of the space and his naked, stretched and vulnerable pose.

Back in Seattle

As the title says, I’m back home. I’m also tired and dying to crawl into my own bed. As usual I come back from vacation feeling like I need another vacation.

I did get to indulge in some more kinky fun today. Hopefully I’ll have a couple of shots from the session to share in the near future. I was actually down around the Folsom Street area, which is the home to the eponymous street fair. So while I go throw my dirty laundry in the wash, I’ll offer up this image from last years event. I was amused by this article about an enterprising woman trying to get farm chores done on the cheap.

Masochists who responded to an advert by an Austrian woman seeking “submissive, well-to-do” men found themselves forced to do farm chores such as stacking wood in the nude or cutting the grass while wearing fetish masks.

Instead of the punishment they were expecting, the men were put to work as labourers around their mistress’s farm in north-eastern Austria, near the town of St. Pölten.

Unsurprisingly it turned out that doing real manual labor wasn’t quite as fun as the outdoor fetish frolics they were expecting. I’m not sure what kind of punishment she advertised, but stacking wood in the nude and cutting grass in a leather gimp mask sounds pretty punishing to me.

What’s particularly strange is that she ended up being charged with “illegal prostitution”. Since prostitution is the selling of sexual services, and the lack of kinky sex fun was precisely their complaint, I’d be intrigued to know what tortuous logic led to that charge. If she’d turned up in leather boots and hit them occasional, would that have made it “legal prostitution” ?

I’ll finish with a picture that is probably more in line with what the men were hoping for. It still looks like hard work, but I’m sure the pony gear, fetish outfits and whipping would have made them a lot happier.

Beach beating

This is, I absolutely swear, my last beach based post for a while. Normally service will be resumed in the next day or so, and I’m sure everyone is breathing a big sigh of relief over that.

I’m finishing the sequence with one of the better femdom beach images I’ve seen. Both ladies in question are dressed appropriately and appear to be enjoying themselves. As for the male – hot sun, sharp sand and rapidly swung switches must make for a particularly painful experience.
