I noticed when writing my previous post that Yumine has set-up a Patreon account. For those that haven’t encountered this service before, it’s an easy way for fans (patrons) of artists to contribute a few bucks to them on a regular basis. It’s not designed to crowdfund a specific piece of work, but instead functions more as a virtual tip jar for ongoing work. Yumine is suggesting chipping in just a $1 or $5 per month.

I’ve not used Patreon before, but this seemed a worthwhile case to give it a go. Sign-up was very quick and easy, and it let me use either PayPal or a credit card. If like me, you appreciate Yumine’s work, then maybe give it a shot yourself?

calmOf course this gives me another excuse to feature her work in a post. I particularly like this piece as the D/s dynamic and activity reminds me a lot of my play. I love breathplay and nipple torture, while having a love/hate relationship with hoods. That often leads to a lot of nervous energy that has to be worked through.

I’m still on vacation, so blogging will continue to be erratic for the next few days. Lacking time to write anything intelligent, my default plan is always to lean on the talent’s of others. In this case it’s the great Yumine Guo. I love the attitude in this image. I never quite say anything as bold as “bring it on”, but sometimes that subtext lurks around my responses. That never ends well for me.

The shape of things to come

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about female anatomy and was a bit snooty about those who demonstrated a lack of knowledge in said anatomy. Having read this article on a 3D printed model of a clitoris, I should perhaps have been slightly more forgiving. If I’d been handed the model, I’m not sure I’d have instantly known what it was. Much like an iceberg, a lot of interesting stuff lies below the visible part. The printed model is going to be used to teach French school children, which is simultaneously an excellent idea and very French.

Service dynamics

As well as dipping my toe back into kinky waters in San Francisco, I’ve also been indulging my fetish for fine dining. I love great food, but I also enjoy observing the theater the goes along with high end restaurants. It’s almost like a roleplay, combing drama, craftsmanship and a finely tuned business machine. It’s designed to make every customer feel like they have a unique and personal experience, while at the same time making it endlessly reproducible.

The customer/server dynamic in these restaurants always intrigues me. There’s an element of D/s in it, but who plays what role can be highly variable. I had a great meal at a restaurant I’ll call AC in San Francisco, and experienced two very different servers. One made me feel pampered and that every little need was taken care of. The other had a quietly superior vibe that pushed all my internal submissive buttons. I imagined that if a drop of sauce was spilt she might force me to lick it up. The former’s philosophy seemed to be “I really hope you like it…” while the latter was “You better damn well like it…” You can probably guess who I enjoyed interacting with the most.

Craftwork

Some people, after almost 12 months away from kinky interaction, might have started with some light play. Maybe a little spanking or tease and denial. I am not those people. My first session in SF was with two dommes – Domina Yuki and Mistress Magnum – and focused heavily on suturing. I hadn’t suggested that particularly technique but, given the option, was very happy to roll with it. You can see some of the results in this twitter post. The nipple suturing was particularly effective, both from the level of pain and from the increased sensitivity after the fact. A lot of yelling, grunting and growling was generated in the process. It was both fun and intense, which is a recipe for happiness in my world.

It’s a well known fact that people will figure out ways to inject sex and kink into almost any possible situation. If people like X and people like sex, so how much better would X+sex be?

The latest example of this is a type of online videogame known as shooters and, as this article explains, one specific one known as Overwatch. Characters typically play as either destructive ‘tanks’ (taking and dishing out damage) or healers (helping the tanks stay alive). So some kinky gamers have created a D/s dynamic with the tanks as dommes and the healers as service submissives. The game is still played in the normal way as a shooter, but the dynamic is overlaid onto the player interactions. The article makes some pretty broad and possibly inaccurate generalizations about BDSM terminology, but it seems to capture the spirit of the thing pretty well.

Personally I’m not much of a fan of multi-player shooters. I prefer games with complex plots that I can play with a glass of wine in hand. But I do admire the ingenuity of people who liked the game and figured out how to mix D/s into it.

Unfortunately not ever combination of D/s and videogames is so ingenious. This is an incredibly dumb advert from the 90’s. It’s from the time when the people developing the ads had no idea about games, and therefore simply threw together whatever random elements they thought would appeal to teenage boys.

Looking forward to fun

Regular and observant readers may have noticed that I haven’t blogged much about my personal play or any trips that I’ve taken. That would be because I’ve been having a very boring 2016. No travel and no kinky fun makes paltego a dull boy. Fortunately, that rather depressing state of affairs is going to be solved in the next few days. I’m heading down to San Francisco where I’ll be doing a couple of different sessions and visiting many excellent restaurants.

I’m looking forward to it and hopefully much fun will be had. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a nice glass of wine with an elegant meal while sitting on a well welted ass. While I head off to pack a bag, I’ll leave you with this happy lady. The ball torture isn’t really my thing, but the big smile while playing certainly is.

These shoes were (definitely not) made for walking

Here’s a final shoe themed post to finish the recent trio. We had inappropriate shoes, slightly silly shoes and now we have these completely ridiculous shoes. I’m calling them shoes, but if you can’t actually walk in them, are they still shoes? When is something no longer a shoe and simply a piece of art displayed on someone’s feet?

Obvious as an aid to bipedal motion, these are a failure. But I’m not sure they’re much better for the average fetishist. You couldn’t lick them without losing an eye. Clearly they wouldn’t work for trampling, unless you wanted a trip to the emergency room. Maybe you could do ballbusting, but only very carefully and the domme would have to remain seated. That’s not exactly conducive to a good kicking action. Any ideas on what you could do with them? Other than poke fun in a blog post obviously.

The shoes

Images like this make me smile. They’re obviously going for a relaxing domme with service slave type vibe. The lady has a comfy chair, a book to read and a snack to enjoy. There’s a handy slave with a tray for nibbles attached to his nipples and an open mouth for any odds and ends she needs to dispose of. There’s even a log fire to light should she get chilly. And then we get to the enormous clear heel stripper shoes. How do they fit into this picture? Who settles down in their living room for a relaxing read with those on?

Some people even make the idea of playing in fuzzy slippers a tagline for their blog. I can’t say I’m much of a slipper fan, but I think they would actually make this image hotter. Forget improving the plot lines or sexual chemistry in porn shoots – lets start with just some costuming logic.
