Better living through chemistry

I’m always curious about the physical processes associated with subspace. I’ve written about it in the past (for example here), despite the fact I know very little about the subject. Fortunately this is the internet, and they let any idiot with a keyboard post his random thoughts.

I do know that Oxytocin is thought to be a part of the subspace brain chemistry. I was therefore intrigued to encounter this article describing how it can be purchased and administered as a nasal spray. The sales pitch is based on improving love and relationships, but it made me wonder what affect it would have on BDSM play. I love the strong wave of emotions I get deep in a scene, so would this make it easier to get to that point? Or would combining the intensity of a scene with a heavy dose of this hormone just end up screwing you up? And if it did work, would that be actually be a good thing? Or would it feel like shortchanging your BDSM relationship?

For someone who tends towards a hedonistic lifestyle, I’m surprisingly straight when it comes to drugs. Big fan of food, drink, and sex, but never smoked a cigarette or done a line in my life. So I’m unlikely to be the guinea pig for this particular experiment. But I would be fascinated to read the results if someone ever repeated the article writer’s experiment in a kinky context.

Purple nurple

I’ve never been a fan of schoolyard pranks. Most of them would see you facing assault charges if you did them as an adult, yet somehow you take a few years off, and it’s just kids messing around. I guess that’s not too surprising a view coming from a boy who was bright, wore glasses and grew up like a strip of willow.

Their one redeeming factor is that they do have interesting names – nipple cripple, wedgie, swirlie, noogie and button face. I sometimes think that the standard BDSM terms could use a touch of similar naming creativity. After all, what sounds more fun? A play session featuring ball torture, caning and forced-bi, or one featuring pounding plums, red stripe delight and blowing the beef bugle? It’d certainly make listing interests and limits a lot more entertaining. Although given the endless arguments about terminology in the kinky community, perhaps greater naming precision rather than creativity is a better goal.

A push and a pinch

That Wascally Wabbit

I’m not sure if this really counts as femdom. Bugs may have a penchant for slipping into a dress whenever the situation demands it, but he is consistently portrayed as a male rabbit. I guess that makes this cross dressing bestiality BDSM. That’s typically not a category that I’m eager to see an image from. However, this one made me smile. It seems to fit with Bug’s personality so well. And, God help me, he does look pretty good in that black, white and blonde get-up.

I believe the artist goes by the handle Bathgate21. You can see more of his work in this gallery. I also enjoyed this image, featuring Bugs, Elmer and Daffy. They make a great trio whatever the situation, and featured in one of the funniest cartoon sequences ever committed to celluloid.

Clamping the tender parts

A quick post tonight, as it’s a busy holiday weekend for me. This image caught my eye for it’s sense of tenderness and togetherness. I always like play that blends a little cruelty with a little tender affection. The only thing better is play that blends a lot of cruelty with just that bit of tenderness.

Opposites day

Highly observant readers may have spotted that this is a blog about the beauty of dominant women, written from the point of view of a submissive male. It’s a remit I interpret fairly broadly, but that’s the general theme of most posts. For today’s publication I’m going to flip it around and give a big shout out to Ferns over at Domme Chronicles. She’s a dominant female and has recently being putting together a tribute to the beauty of submissive males. The result is an animated collage of images constructed from photographs submitted by her readers.

I think it’s a beautiful idea and the resulting film is a lovely tribute to a group who don’t always get as much love as they should. As an added bonus you can also use it to play a game of guess the body part of the sex blogger. There are a couple of images of me, and I also spotted Tom and maymay in there. Apparently Peroxide is also featured, but I don’t know what his body parts look like.

When looking for an image to accompany this post I knew immediately where to go. The Dishevelled Domina’s tumblr always features a fine crop of submissive guys and here’s a nice shot of one getting bitten and pinched.

Sex, sadism and satire

I used to read The Onion regularly, but in the last couple of years it somehow dropped off my radar. Then a few days ago somebody forwarded me a link, and an hour vanished while I browsed some of the articles I’d missed. The quality of the humor is erratic, but occasionally they really nail a theme.

The topic of sex works pretty well for their style of serious reporting of exaggerated or ludicrous situations. One article I always remember is about the S&M couple who won’t stop droning on about their fetishes. I hope none of my readers identify with that! Other funny articles include the butterfly fuck swing filled with junk mail, the dominatrix who seems preoccupied and the fact that the nation’s nipples are severely under clamped.

I’ll use that last article’s title as the prompt for my post image. She’s trying to look coy, but you just know those nipple clamps are going to get ripped off any minute.

See no evil, speak no evil

Today is sadly the last day of my vacation before returning to Seattle. Fortunately I’ve had a very pleasant trip, enjoyed some kinky fun, and met some interesting new people. I played with two different dommes, and got some nice piercing photographs from a session yesterday that I’ll share in a later post. From a masochist’s point of view this shot is pretty weak sauce. Those clothe pegs don’t look like they’d hurt much at all. Function

Yesterday’s post had me talking about gloves, and how I prefer a more functional style. Purely by chance today I came across the shot below, which features simple short black leather gloves. Happily, they’re also combined with breath play and nipple torture, two of my favorite things. I suspect a fetishist would prefer the gloves from the previous post, but as a masochist, this shot is far more pleasing.

A delightfully devious device

This looks like a particularly exciting device for nipple torture. I think it’s called a nipple tree. There’s a name which conjures up a fairly weird mental image. I’ve seen them used before, but this is by far the prettiest, with its chrome and perspex design. I imagine it must ideal for very carefully inflicting just the perfect amount of pain via the clover clamps.

As for the mistress in these shots, I could swear I know who it is, but I just can’t connect the face to a name. It’s driving me slightly nuts, and reverse image searching hasn’t helped. So if you can help me attribute correctly then please leave me a comment with the lady’s name.

Updated: Thanks to a comment by Downlow I’ve finally identified the mistress as the talented Dante Posh. She’s a NYC/NJ based pro-domme, although she also travels extensively. I believe this is from a scene she shot for the English Mansion.
