More Mummification

I hadn’t intended two posts on this topic, but here we are.

Part of the reason is that Cosmopolitan also posted an article on it, and it contains just as much handwringing as they other articles I referenced in the last post. Apparently wrapping someone’s body in plastic wrap is a super advanced kink that you should never do at home. Weird. It goes on to advocate for things like using a weighted blanket or noise cancelling headphones, which is pretty weak sauce. How about just telling people to not put anything around or above the neck?

However, the main reason for a second post is that I saw this post on Twitter. It’s by LustTek and, as far as I can tell from other posts like this and this, they’re building their very own mummification machine. It’s the kind of crazy kinky idea that is both totally OTT but also kind of awesome. I love to see projects like this. Although of course, this one actually is really dangerous! You could solo wrap yourself to death. Let’s hope Euphoria don’t decide to use it in Season 4, otherwise hand wringing in the press will be off the charts.

More mummification does let me feature an expert in it – Mistress Hinako. I’ve featured her work before (for example here and here). The shot is particularly sexy, given the contrast between the extreme mummification and her casual pose.

You can find more from Mistress Hinako on her website, her blog, her instagram and twitter.

  1. Mummification is definitely one of my top kinks! I used to do it often when we I was younger, but oddly enough with age, I’ve gotten less patient to get into bondage. Of the two pictures, however, neither is my preferred “way” of doing it. This one with Mistress Hinako, is closer to the look and feel I used to go for, but still off because of the tape.

Essentially, I used to wear my spandex tights and leotard, over which I would pull one of my spandex Zentai (I had two: one black with open face, and another black with closed face), and finally over which, with the help of a playful Dom, I would be zipped into a heavy-weight spandex/darlex open-faced mummy-suit with internal sleeves down each side.

The layering of spandex over spandex, combined with the tight immobilizing embrace of a spandex mummy-suit, definitely made me feel completely mummified, and with a floor fan blowing, there was no overheating, just fun times meditating while waiting to be released, which was quick enough, and all the material was re-usable afterwards.

I’d be very reluctant to wrap myself in unbreathable plastic, despite my clear fetish for looking like a shinny cocoon.

    1. Thanks for sharing. That’s an interesting combination of materials and techniques. Lady Lydia used to have a decent amount of spandex/darlex equipment which I enjoyed playing with/in, but it (sadly) doesn’t seem to be common with other dommes. I like the idea of using it in mummification like that.

Personally, I like plastic wrap mummification but, as you say, it can be sweaty and hot. And it’s a pain to get out of.
