Apologies and Shoutout

Apologies for the lack of regular posting recently. There’s a bunch of topics I want to write about, but my back has been screwed up, which precludes me sitting at a computer for lengthy periods. It’s kind of funny (although not in a ha-ha way) that I can actually trace my back issues to a specific play session back in 2011. At the time I though I’d just strained some muscles. It turns out that thanks to a couple of decades hunched over keyboards, I’d managed to screw a couple of my lower discs up, and that session was the one that pushed them over the edge. It really hasn’t been the same since that night. Who’d have though that having hot sauce smeared on your genitals would lead to chronic back issues? The human body is a truly wonderful thing.

If you’re in your 20’s or 30’s and spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, I’d strongly urge you to take regular breaks, exercise whenever possible and consider taking up yoga. Although if you’re anything like me at that age, you probably think it’ll never happen to you, so I’m  wasting my time giving advice here.

Changing the subject entirely – if you’re in LA from the 23rd to the 25th, let me point you in the direction of Lady Hinako. I’ve featured her work in the past (here and here) and she’s visiting LA from Japan on those particular dates. Lady Chiaki (previously featured here) will also be in LA at the same time. If I hadn’t been in LA just a couple of weeks ago, I’d be considering a trip down in order to play with these talented dommes. As I type this, they still have time slots available to play.

Both these images are from Lady Hinako’s twitter feed.

  1. I also have back pain and I have found yoga to be enormously helpful because it improves my flexibility, something which is useful in all sorts of circumstances!
So that’s a five star recommendation.
I also think you are right to warn of the dangers of hunching over keyboards.
Dommes are often interested in posture and in making their subs look good when they move around.
I wonder if a Domme might run a course on Posture for Office Workers?

    1. I really wish I’d started playing with kink and doing yoga in my 20’s rather than my late 30’s. I feel like I lost a decade or more of kinky fun and instead spent it screwing my body up sitting at a keyboard. Oh well. That’s the benefit of experience and hindsight talking.

Glad to hear you’ve also found a benefit to yoga. I’ve found the benefit can be somewhat teacher dependent, but when you get a good one, it can be really good.

I’ve not heard of a domme running a course on posture and good working practices – but that doesn’t mean it’s not out there! I’ve seen kink combined with yoga and working out, so maybe posture and good working practices are a natural extension!

  2. Thank you for not making me jealous. I envied you when you met mistress Damiana Chi. After you wrote about her, I added her to my list of dommes I’ll invite to design a room as soon as I have the funds to build my own BDSM hotel 🙂

If it were me, I would have emptied my piggy bank to meet lady Hinako, but luckily you care for your readers and won’t. Much appreciated! Get well soon.

    1. Note: I left this comment, because I got an error, leaving a comment on your article “What seems to be the problem, officer?”.

After filling out all the fields and pressing enter, it says “page not found.” Sorry.

      1. Sorry about the comment problems. It’s a stupid filter that I need to fix. Drives me crazy. Unfortunately, I need an hour or two of free time to figure it out and a back that’ll let me sit that long. So far I’ve not managed to align those two things. Avoiding ‘naughty’ words fixes it, but that’s obviously a pretty crap solution for a blog about BDSM and kinky sex.

    2. Glad I avoided making you jealous! 🙂

Timing was unfortunate for me and Lady Hinako’s visit. She’s definitely someone I’d love to play with. If I’d known earlier I could have delayed the LA trip I took at the start of the month to the end. Or if I’d gone somewhere else on that trip, I could maybe have persuaded myself to jump on a plane and head LA this week. Assuming my back wasn’t so screwed up of course.

Thanks for the good wishes. Hopefully I’ll be recovered and heading off for more trips at some point this year.
