Letting her hair down (and twisting it around)

This image is a nice take on the Rapunzel fairy tale, with an obvious influence from Tangled, the recent Disney version. It’s by the artist iesnoth.

I have to admit that I’ve got a minor kink for long hair, although it’s a relatively recent interest. A few years ago it wouldn’t have been a blip on my kinky radar, but playing with Lydia changed that. She has beautiful long red hair, and tends to incorporate it in subtle ways into a session. She’ll let the edges just brush my skin, let it fold against me, or drift it gently across my face. When I’m in bondage and in pain, that sensual touch, the subtle scent of it, really creates a strong emotional response. It’s a great example of a developed kink, almost a Pavlovian response.

  1. Great cartoon and interesting topic.

I used to have short hair–a severe bob with bangs, sort of like a 1920s flapper hairdo–and I loved it. One day, assuming that the man in my life approves, I’ll probably cut off my hair.

Buuuut…this is not going to happen in the foreseeable future.

    Why?

Men, by and large, have an overwhelming preference for long hair. A minority love short-haired girls to the point of fetishizing it, but the rest looooooove long hair on a woman. And they love to feel it caressing their skin. Every stripper in the world (I am not a stipper, but have discussed this with them) will tell you that hair-tossing is crucial to performing good lap dances.

I certainly don’t do it for every client, because some of them are yukky, but for the ones I’m comfortable and friendly with, I wave my hair on them with they are securely immobilized, AND THEY LOVE IT. It’s so funny. I could probably do an entire session just tying a guy to a bondage bed and waving my hair on his body, haahahaha.

I know I bitch about clients and men in general a lot of my blog, but there are, in fact, times that they are very sensual and adorable and lovable. The hair-rapture in one of those times.

So, I’m keeping the hair. I’d grow it out to my waist if I could, but my hair is fine and I can’t get it past my bra strap.

And yes, Lydia has glorious hair. I covet her hair. Lucky lady.

I ought to blog this. thanks for letting me ramble.

    1. Thanks for the lengthy and informative comment Miss Margo! And glad you liked the cartoon.

Not sure how the statistics line up, but personally, and from a purely visual perspective I’m pretty open about hair styles. By which I mean I like lots of styles, not just long. Not a big fan of huge 80’s perms, but anything stylish can be hot. Funny that you mention bobs and the 20’s, because I’ve always had a thing for the looks of Louise Brooks. Love her style.

However, as you point out, when it comes to playing with it and using it in a session, long is much more versatile. I would have never have thought about it until Lydia did it, and then it was “Oh…that’s interesting…and hot” :). I’m not surprised lot’s of other guys feel the same way.

I know some dommes do pure hair worship sessions. Presumably lots of wafting and gentle combing involved. That’s a bit too fetishistic for me, but I do enjoy it as another layer of sensation in more pain focused play.
