That’s just not cricket

This series of images makes me smile for it’s cartoon like progression. The four shot sequence reminds me of an old photo booth filmstrip. However, I certainly wouldn’t recommend trying to reproduce it. Falling backwards like that onto your hands and arms like that would not be good. I think this is also the first time I’ve ever seen a cricket bat used in a BDSM shot. As implements go it’s probably a little heavy to use effectively, but it’s certainly fearsome.

The female model is Lorelei and the photographer is Titus Powell. As you’d expect given the sporting equipment, they’re both UK based.

  1. Hi Paltego:

Where Her Majesty comes from cricket is the national sport. Nobel laureate V. S. Naipaul wrote a short story about that lovely tropical isle in which a husband is regularly beaten by his wife with a cricket bat. In the story it is known throughout the town that he not only tolerates the treatment but actually enjoys it! Shocking and scandalous I know. The story is in a wonderful collection called “Miguel Street.” W/we don’t actually own a cricket bat and have to get by with a plethora of other implements. Caning is also very popular where she comes from. We do own a few of those…

    1. Hey hmp,

I certainly know about the love India has for cricket. England v’s India isn’t quite up there with England v’s Australia as far as cricket sporting rivalries go, but it’s always an eagerly awaited clash 🙂

I do know of V. S. Naipaul’s work, but haven’t really read much of it. I’ll keep an eye out for Miguel Street. A cricket bat is pretty heavy bit of timber, so I wouldn’t suggest adding one to your implement collection. Although a child size one might actually work pretty well as heavy paddle 🙂
