Headline Hard-ons

There have been a lot of dicks in the news recently. And no, that’s not a set-up for a Donald Trump joke.

Firstly, there was the story with the headline grabbing title – ‘Is your penis really shrinking?‘ Apparently falsely believing your penis to be shrinking is a defined medical phenomena known as Koro. I know men think all sorts of strange things about their dicks on a daily basis, but panicking that it’ll vanish back into the body is a new one on me.

Then there was the story about a penis transplant. A lot of headlines billed it as the ‘first’, where in fact it was only the first in the US and the third in the world. A penis transplant sounds like a set-up for a great porn movie or a terrible horror movie, but in fact it’s a fascinating medical and human interest story. The recipient seems like an interesting guys who has tackled the issue in a very open and honest way.

Finally, in slightly different medical news, there was the English surgeon who wore a chastity device while performing operations. The story is full of lurid details of a penis torture device, but from the description it just sounds like a regular plastic CB device or something similar. He wasn’t discovered because of the bulge in his scrubs, but because he snapped photos in a hospital locker room and emailed them to a ‘professional’ (note quotes) dominatrix. She then turned him into the hospital authorities who suspended him.

I’m in two minds about that last story. On one hand he doesn’t seem to have exhibited great judgement, which isn’t a good sign for a surgeon. On the other hand, I’m really not sure what the big deal is about doing your job in a chastity device. The article talks about hygiene issues, but unless he was doing surgery sans pants, I can’t imagine that would be a problem. If it was a vibrating butt plug or nipple clamps then I’d understand the concern, but some people wear chastity devices 24×7. I’d be more concerned with his bad judgement in snapping photographs and picking a horrible domme than the device itself.

Dick PicI’m afraid I don’t know where this particular dick pic is from. It has the look of a cropped image from kink.com.

  1. Wow, I can’t get over the violation of trust, not to mention the lack of compassion. If she had some concerns, she should have at the very least addressed them with the doc and told him firmly to stop doing such things. Or severed their relationship. Or at least explained her concerns to him before sending the pics off to his boss.

Of course, it does make you wonder what was goin on hi *his* mind, too, if he’s sending her dick pics five minutes after surgery. But still, as long as he was successfully operating, then what business is it?

    1. Yes, I agree. He clearly wasn’t making the smartest decisions in the world, but she comes across as a particularly horrible person. Tabloid reporting is normally pretty terrible, but it’s hard to come up with an alternative version of this story that doesn’t make her look bad.

  2. Paltego,

This post (your best ever in my opinion) truly made my day. I didn’t laugh out loud, but grinned from ear to ear throughout!

Penises have a long history of shrinking. And it continues to happen every day. They can’t be growing forever. Let’s hope this whole penis transplant movement remains in control. The last thing we need is a rush of new patients demanding a more formidable tool between their legs. My advice would be to be happy with what you have. The world needs men with little dicks.

Not having ever worn a male chastity device nor having the anatomical equipment to pass judgment on them either, I can’t say whether or not I’d be bothered while doing my job. But based upon the amount of time my own submissive spends in chastity, I wouldn’t see any problem with the surgeon operating while locked. That is unless he was in too much of a hurry to send a selfie to his mistress!

Thanks for the very enjoyable post.

    1. Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve a few other posts of mine that I prefer to this one but this was definitely one I was happy with.

I can’t see the transplant area taking off for anything but the most desperate cases. The psychological issues alone are scary to contemplate. Although maybe it’d help some of the obnoxious politicians and business leaders who are clearly trying to compensate for something.

Given that I’m sure plenty of surgeons regular operate with hangovers, headaches and screwed up emotional states, I definitely don’t see the big deal with a chastity device. Assuming that the person is used to it of course, and won’t spend the entire time fiddling around trying to get comfortable!

  3. I think speaking as an English lass it is the fact that we are perhaps not so open about such devices, why they felt it necessary to report him I do not know, unless he was taken a selfie of his device and patient

    1. As far as I can tell from the articles, he was posting from the locker room where they change before/after surgery. Or from outside the hospital. So not with the patient. As Tom said in another comment, the domme really did violate his trust.

  4. If wearing a CB 3000 or the like is in the background of your day-to-day because you live it so much, fine. If you’re so aware of it that you take pictures 5 minutes after surgery, I’m worried if your mind was completely on that surgery. Bad judgement all round, it sounds like.

    1. Hard to tell from the articles if it was a new thing to him, or he was used to it and just excited to share with the domme. He certainly didn’t show the best judgement in either actions or who to send the pictures to. At the same time I’m sure doctors operate with things on their mind all the time. They’re just normal people doing a job after all.
