Tell me where it hurts

Kink and fantasy medial scenes are a pretty natural pairing. Kink and actual medical professionals can be a bit more problematic. The Daily Beast has a good article on that topic entitled ‘Coming out kinky to your Doctor, in Black and Blue‘. It covers some of the risks and dilemmas involved in sharing exactly where that bruise or rope burn came from.

Personally if there was ever an issue I needed to discuss, or I was directly questioned about it, I’d be open with my doctor. After all if I’m willing to share my kinks with a professional dominatrix, why not a medical professional? I also assume that doctors see unusual stuff all the time, and whatever I’ve done is going to be old news to them. I once spent an instructive few hours browsing a forum for medical interns. They were sharing crazy stories from the emergency room, and it was pretty clear that whatever kinky shenanigans I got up to, it was never going to top what the average trainee doctor sees on a regular basis.

Of course I’m lucky. I have good healthcare, live in a liberal city and have a wide choice of doctors. If my choices were more limited I’d perhaps feel differently.

  1. Hi Paltego:

I have come out to doctors in the past out of necessity. Most of them have been female which was interesting. After a particularly intimate exam one of them told me I was “very obedient”. LOL! There just might be a short story in that experience…

For optimal health care results you have to share relevant info with your doctor. I did so recently and as you say what I shared was no big deal compared to what she has seen in the past. Like you I live in a liberal city so it is possible I might have encountered a different reaction had I seen a doctor in another part of the country, though I sincerely hope not.

Intimate exams performed by attractive female medical professionals can be a bit nerve wracking but also quite enjoyable in their way. Hopefully they are also covered by insurance! 🙂

    1. Hey hmp,

Yes, I’m with you on sharing details with your doctor. At least when they’re relevant and necessary. My current one is a very forceful, attractive and direct woman, so I always enjoy seeing her! At least if I’m going to be sick, I feel I should enjoy talking to my doctor 🙂 Thanks for dropping by and sharing your experiences.

  2. Hi paltego,

Being open with health care professionals has begun to be part of the mix for me. I’ve had a couple of surgeries, so the medical team all had the opportunity of seeing my “House bitch” tattoo. Also, recently, when I had my first meeting with the surgeon who just did my hip replacement, he surprised me with the need to do an x-ray on the spot. I was locked up in our chastity tube so that made for an interesting assessment. I once had a mishap in a catheter scene and wound up in the emergency room, bleeding like a stuck pig. I suppose if you play long enough a doc here or there will be exposed to all sorts of little surprises. In my experience, they behave as the pros they are and focus on the issue you’re there for. I’d love to have been a fly on my surgeon’s wall after I left. I’m sure I was a topic of mirth in an otherwise routine day.

    1. Hey scott,

Really nice to hear from you and thanks for dropping by. Hope you’re doing well in your recovery process. I’d have been entertained to listen in on that x-ray conversation. Unusual tattoo’s are one thing, but a steel tube on your cock definitely requires at least a short explanation! As you say, I think doctors have seen all sorts of crazy stuff, and 99% of them are always going to act as pros and deal with the medical issue in front of them.

      Look after yourself.
