Kink on The Strip

Vegas isn’t a particularly kinky city. Big on sex work in general, not a lot of the kinky variety. However, I did spot one street performer doing her bit to change that.

Like other touristy places, the Vegas Strip has a lot of costumed street performers. For a few bucks you can get your photograph taken with a Batman, an Optimus Prime, a Donald Duck, etc. Vegas being Vegas, classic showgirl outfits are a popular get up, featuring lots of sparkles, bright colors and plunging necklines. Think something like this photo.

One enterprising performer I spotted wondering past the Bellagio had accessorized the classic showgirl look with a leather spanking strap. This wasn’t a brightly colored heart shaped play paddle. It was long, thick, black heavy leather. The kind of implement even a serious spankee would want to warm up to. I admired her attempt to appeal to more clients, particularly kinky ones, but felt she might want to pick a less fearsome weapon.  One that wouldn’t strike fear into the heart of passing tourists.

It’s pretty tricky to find a photograph of a dominatrix showgirl. Instead I’ll leave you with another costume I spotted on the strip – Catwoman. She didn’t have a leather padddle on her, which was a shame. I might have been inclined to stop for a whack or two.

  1. I just got back from Vegas too, there were a ton of those ‘sexy-cops’ who were offering to cuff people for photographs, and then use crops to punish them, almost too many honestly. Even the ‘sexy’ cowgirls had floggers and would ‘whip’ a male passerby which clearly took a few by surprise… too cheesy for me, plus I was with a couple of very vanilla middle aged ladies!

On a separate note, U2 in the sphere was an incredible event, truly transformative in terms of how concerts can be presented going forward. Mind blowing in summary.

    1. I did see a few sexy cops at work. Forgot about those. They seemed more usual than a showgirl with a paddle, so didn’t stick in my mind quite the same way.

Glad to hear the U2 sphere show was so good. I didn’t go this time, but I’ve tickets with some friends for that show in Jan. Sounds like it’ll be something to look forward to in the New Year!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing!

  2. I never understood why Batman would want to escape from under Catwoman’s paws… but he did allow himself to get easily captured every time.

    1. I guess the question is: Does Batman sub or switch? I think it must be one of them. As you say, he gets captured way to often to not be into it! 🙂

  3. Is there an argument for a poll here, I.e. which Catwoman would we prefer to be caught by?

    1. Julie Newmar – She played Catwoman in the 1960s “Batman” TV series.
    2. Lee Meriwether – She portrayed Catwoman in the 1966 “Batman” film.
    3. Eartha Kitt – Also appeared as Catwoman in the 1960s “Batman” TV series.
    4. Michelle Pfeiffer – Starred as Catwoman in the 1992 film “Batman Returns.”
    5. Halle Berry – Played the character in the 2004 film “Catwoman.”
    6. Anne Hathaway – Appeared as Catwoman in the 2012 film “The Dark Knight Rises.”
    7. Zoë Kravitz – Portrayed Catwoman in the 2022 film “The Batman.”

      1. Hi Paltego. If you do run the poll and for some reason I can’t make it, would you mind taking my voting as given? Just to make sure it’s counted – you know I wouldn’t want to miss it.

Let’s see… I reckon I can change the server on my VPN to give me a new IP address and vote in about ten seconds. But there’s only about 50 servers on each VPN, so every 50 votes I’ll have to sign up for a new one… call that five minutes each time. All in all, bit of arithmetic, I reckon I could vote… about 72,000 times over a 24 hour period? So… yeah, maybe round it down to 70,000 for toilet breaks but can you just take that as being in her column right from the start? Thanks.

And of course, Gourmet Afficianado is quite right to highlight her performance in Valentine’s Day, especially that bit where she uses a rubber band to make a thwacking sound. It was simply inexplicable that she didn’t receive the Best Actress Oscar for that – once again, the Academy completely wasted it by awarding it to someone else. I don’t mind someone other than Anne getting an award occasionally – best foreign-language costume by a newcomer or some such – but it shouldn’t be the norm.

To my mind, though, the best scene in Valentine’s Day isn’t when she’s doing phone sex, but rather when her boyfriend visits her at the end and she’s cross with him. I melt… when he says around 0:40 ‘I should be the one apologising’ he is so, so right and I wish I could be the one apologising profusely and abjectly…

Anyway, yeah. Vote early, vote often for Anne.

        Best wishes

        S
