The Barbie movie opens this weekend. For a movie about a child’s toy, it seems to have taken on an outsized cultural significance. Part of that is doubtless down to its juxtaposition with Oppenheimer, part down its very well chosen stars in Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
While the Barbie aesthetic doesn’t often cross over into BDSM, there’s certainly a lot of traffic the other way. There are countless Goth Barbie creations, with wardrobe and accessory sets straight out of the nearest dungeon. I particularly liked the one below, shared by Mistress Chloe.
I’ll pass on the Barbie movie this weekend and take in Oppenheimer. Though I wouldn’t mind putting a collar around Ryan Gosling and leading him around on a leash.
I thought Oppenheimer was very good, but not amazing. It does have some great acting in it. Not yet seen Barbie. While you’re leading Ryan Gosling around on a leash, I’ll happily be stepped all over by Margot Robbie 🙂

I’ve seen Barbie. Dreaded to go. Surprise. It’s a great movie. Both for adults and kids. For once grown-ups [m/f] have more fun. And rich with irony for us femdom insiders. Highly recommended.
Just glad my name isn’t Ken. The next couple of weeks will be tough for lads with that name.

Good to know. Thanks. I’ll have to check it out. I always enjoy a movie that can work on several levels. Lot of comments I’ve read say Ryan Gosling steals the show, which I find hard to believe when Margot Robbie is involved!
