I have little love for the British royal family or the current Conservative government. However, I have to give a shout out to its member Penny Mordaunt for pulling off this look during the recent coronation. She’s not exactly the Lady of the Lake, but as sword wielding maidens go, she’s doing a fine job.
Apparently she sported the sword for 51 minutes which turns out to be quite a feat. I’d never vote for her, but if any dragons show up and need slaying she might be just the woman for the job.
To misquote Monty Python “strange women distributing swords is no basis for government” . As a near neighbour of Penny Mordaunt’s constituency I can state that whilst she might make a superb dream Amazonian dom, in real life she is a nightmare.
Yes, I can imagine she’s less than a dream as an actual MP. On the plus side, her constituency does seem to be a bellwether for the Nation vote, so if the conservatives lose that next time out, maybe she’ll get the boot as well. Give her more time to practice her swordplay.

If she loses her seat, perhaps she might seek out a more honourable profession. I can think of one she’d be good at.
She could even put her Royal Navy experience to good use: best to avoid rum in session, perhaps, but plenty of scope for buggery and the lash.
Would make a change to be literally rather than figuratively fucking the electorate!
