Spiky

I’m safely back in Seattle. A couple of games of Civ Revolution and many glasses of red wine kept me entertained while traversing the continent. Often on these kind of flights I’m nursing some bruises or tender spots from a session. Dommes seem to take an inordinate delight in making the hell of air travel even more uncomfortable for me. It’s almost as if they’re some kind of sadists. Fortunately, despite a couple of very enjoyable sessions with Miss Troy Orleans on the prior days, I didn’t have to contend with that particular issue this time.

I haven’t yet had time to track down some good post topics, so I’ll take the easy route and point at some interesting content elsewhere. D has a nice post up on using a dermaroller that caught my eye. I always enjoy discovering a new pervertible and this one looks like a lot of fun. Blending sensation play and pain is always a favorite of mine. The old school approach to this is the Wartenberg wheel, which might not be as intense or as versatile as a dermaroller, but does look beautiful. This is Mistress Varla using one in a K is for Kink shoot. I found it on Dishevelled Domina’s tumblr.

  1. My mother remembers when air travel was glamorous. She said that people used to dress up in their Sunday best to fly. She also said that being a Stewardess was a glamorous and high-status profession for working and middle-class women.

Must have been nice. Now, flying is like taking a Greyhound Bus at 35,000 feet. I hate it.

Sorry this comment is not about Femdom, lol.

    1. I miss the idea of glamorous air travel, but I suspect I don’t miss the prices they used to charge. There’s a good article here on how prices have fallen along with standards: http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2013/02/how-airline-ticket-prices-fell-50-in-30-years-and-why-nobody-noticed/273506/

The problem is now there’s basically no nice choices. US domestic economy class is horrible, and business/first class is a lot more expensive and not all that much nicer. Some of the international flights still have amazing service and comfort (along with glamorous stewardesses) but they charge even more ridiculous amounts. I keep waiting for someone to reinvent rail travel to make it luxurious and fast, but that’s not happening either sadly.
