My previous post on cleaning and maids reminded me of this prior post on the fantasy of maidbots. Checking out the linked authors from that piece it seems they’ve some new material available.
Maidbot Sally has a new story ‘Ancillarobophobia‘, featuring a young man forced to overcome his fear of electronic maidbots by becoming one for his family. As you might guess, things don’t go his way. No sex, but lots of objectification.
Michael1970 has an ongoing multipart visual story along similar lines. Less bot and more just regular maid however. It’s obviously built with AI art, but I find that less objectionable when someone is trying to use it as part of their creative process. It’s when all the creativity is left to the GPUs that it seems so pointless and sloppy.
