Can’t get no respect

Miss Pearl has written some wise words on when it’s appropriate to block and ignore a submissive. Her post is primarily targeted at dommes communicating online and the warning signs they should look out for. However, it strikes me that the underlying sentiment behind most of her points applies to all genders and kinky persuasions, and both lifestyle and professional.

For example, any pro-domme who immediately emphasizes her dominant role or my submissive one in our initial communication is a red flag for me. Similarly, if she can’t be bothered to pay attention to what I’ve written, doesn’t respect my time, or if she appears to be stereotyping me into some pre-defined submissive roles, then those are also troubling signs. I’ve never yet had a good experience where I got a bad initial feeling, but went ahead with it anyway.

I believe one of the key themes here is mutual respect. That’s respect for each other as a person and individual, not simply a D or an s or any other letter of the alphabet. It’s respect for each others time and energy. Respect for personal safety and the social situation. A lot of the issues I’ve seen have flowed from a lack of respect on one side or the other.

Of course showing someone respect doesn’t also mean you can’t do terribly evil things to them. Like make them sleep on the floor, naked, hooded and in chains and chastity. That’s cruel, but she’ll still respect him in the morning.

This is of course from the English Mansion site, and I believe the sleeping beauty is Mistress Sidonia. I originally found the image on the Alternative Femdom tumblr.

And they said I was mad! Mad I tell you!

I’ve been pondering why roleplay featuring crazy scientists isn’t more common. Sadly I’ve come to no good conclusions. It’s a scenario that crops up occasionally in erotic fiction, but very rarely in visual pornography or live scenes.

On the face of it, the scenario seems a perfect one for kinky play. There’s an obvious power imbalance between scientist and subject, as well as lots of scope for cages, straps and fiendish equipment. It would also seem easy to shoehorn pretty much any activity you liked into an experimental set-up. After all, crazy scientists are not known for conducting particularly sane or straightforward experiments. Admittedly, compared to popular scenarios like teacher or doctor it’s not a situation people encounter in everyday life, but it’s a popular enough trope in science fiction and horror stories.

The shot below is one of the rare cases of it being featured in porn. This particular case is from Divine Bitches and has Lorelei evaluating Kip Johnson. Sadly it the rest of the scene appears to suffer from an old school approach to kinky porn. Rather than using the logic of the set-up to drive the dynamics of the scene, it’s used simply as lead in to the standard sexual shenanigans. Like all good scientists at work, Lorelei quickly strips down and starts fucking the subject. I’m not sure what hypothesis she’s trying to prove, but I doubt her methods will get her published in Nature anytime soon.

Mixing work and pleasure

I’ve featured unusual scientific research on pain in past posts. A recent article from io9 continues this theme with details of 1933 experiment that lovers of CBT may find familiar. I’m proud to say it featured a couple of British scientists, whose names have sadly not entered history alongside other greats like Newton, Faraday and Darwin.

They were researching referred pain, a strange phenomena where damage to one part of the body manifests as pain in an entirely different part. They needed an easy way of causing pain and, being men, immediately turned to the idea of squeezing testicles. Also being good scientists, rather than the evil crazy kind, they experimented on themselves, using weights to apply controlled pressure. Presumably the Nut Crusher had yet to be invented. Their conclusion was that testicular pain also manifested in the torso, on the same side as the squeezed testicle. Perhaps my male readers can confirm or deny the truth of this finding? Or maybe try a repeat run? It’s not kinky, it’s just good old fashioned research.

Apparently the originally published paper doesn’t list who inflicted the pain on who. Personally I wonder if they persuaded an attractive medical student to do the job. You know, for science.

Squeezed TesticlesThis couple appear to be conducting an experiment of their own. I’m not sure if it’s under controlled conditions, but she’s certainly generating a statistically significant amount of pain. I found the image on the Innocence is Bliss tumblr. I believe it’s originally from the Female Dom site.

Less is more

I had an unusual session with Lydia last night. It was mostly focused on piercing, which certainly isn’t unusual, as anyone who has read my past session posts will know. What was different about this one was that no bondage was involved. I don’t think I can remember the last time that happened. We typically don’t make bondage a focus, but it’s almost always in the mix somewhere. In this case I was lying, sitting and standing at different times, but never restrained.

The psychological effect it created surprised me. It made our play feel more intimate. Practically speaking, based on what got stuck into which body parts, it was no different to many past sessions. It wasn’t like we were physically closer than usual, or interacted particularly differently. Yet it seems that bondage has a much stronger objectifying aspect than I’d previously realized. Someone tied down is being acted on, even if they agreed to be there. Being free to move but choosing not to triggered a sense of cooperation, which in turn created togetherness and intimacy.

This may be old news to many of you, but it was a surprising revelation to me. I always thought bondage was a fun addition to a scene. I never realized that taking it away could also add to the experience.

Grabbed by the throatI’m afraid I don’t have a source for this image. There’s no bondage, but I always find being grabbed by the throat is a very intimate yet controlling act.

Fucked on camera

Just a short post tonight. I enjoyed an intense session with Lydia that left me bruised, floaty and exhausted. I then came home and watched one of the most amazing World Cup games there will ever be. All I want to do now is crash. In the meantime I’ll leave you with a picture of a lady doing to her man what Germany did tonight to Brazil.

The lady taking the selfie is Nikki Whiplash. She’s a English domme based out of Hampshire.

Cage for 7 points

I thought I’d finish my sequence of cage related shots with this one. It contains several things I love – dominant women, play scenes, red wine – with one thing I hate, Scrabble. My brain just isn’t wired correctly for that game. I’d certainly be no match for the lady in the photograph, the famous (infamous?) Ms Troy Orleans. A few years ago she actually put up a kinky Scrabble challenge, at which she remained undefeated.

Just a rat in a cage

Fans of playing in cages will probably be interested in this article. Alternatively, if cages don’t do it for you, how about accommodation in New York for $1 a night? The cage in question, owned by an artist, looks a lot nicer and bigger than a lot of New York hotel rooms that cost hundreds of dollars more. There are a lot of rules associated with it, but violating them only costs $100 per day, which would still make it an incredibly cheap place to stay.

Sadly it doesn’t come with any guards willing to do deliciously evil things to the prisoner. So if you want to reenact this kind of scene, you’ll have to bring your own. And keep in mind that the whole thing is live streamed 24/7.

The image features Jasmine Byrne and Phantom in a Men in Pain scene. I found it via the Seductive Domme tumblr.

Manipulations and modifications

I’m continuing the Photoshop theme from yesterday’s post with this image. It’s another example of a well done modification that sort of works but also clearly looks a little off.

The original image, with it’s chained goat and serious looking Evangelia Randou has a disquieting erotic aspect all of its own. Somehow that high necked dress is sexier than a lot of the crazy fetish wear I regularly see. I don’t think dropping in the hooded guy really improves the shot, but the original is so strange, it almost survives the change. I wonder if the man in the mask is also the manipulator of the image?
