Fear at the Front Desk

I have a secret fear of checking out of hotels. Particularly if there’s a big line of people at the desk. Each time as I go to slide across the key, I give a little nervous smile and try not to catch the hotel employee in the eye. I always picture them fiddling around on their computer and then saying “Ahhh, yes sir. You were in that room. We’d be obliged if you didn’t make any future bookings at our hotel.”

I’m obviously shocked at this statement, but as I start to protest they look me straight in the eye and loudly say “You know what you did. We all heard the noises! The young couple in the next room were most disturbed. We told them the screams were just a loud horror movie you were watching, but I know what that young lady was doing to you! You should be ashamed.”

Of course this has never happened and almost certainly never will. If hotels barred people for getting a little freaky in their rooms, then they’d have a lot of empty hotel rooms (with some exceptions). But that doesn’t stop me getting just that little bit nervous and sweaty when it comes time to pay the bill.

My most recent reason for this fear was an opportunity to play with Miss Margot of NYC in my hotel on the last full day of my trip. We had a blast, indulging in all sorts of great kinky activities. Like most NYC hotels the room was pretty small, but unlike most hotels, the bed had all sorts of useful tie points to take advantage of. That fact, combined with Miss Margot’s skills and travelling bag of rope and toys, made for a great way to spend a final afternoon in Manhattan. Hopefully we didn’t scare the other guests too badly.

Miss Margot actually works as a professional switch, offering sessions as a bottom, sub, top or domme. I checked very carefully before leaving Seattle and, despite looking under the bed and down the back of the couch, still couldn’t find my dominant side. Feel the burn

I noticed that I’d inadvertently published two consecutive posts featuring fire. That wasn’t intended, but given that I have a strange compulsion to post in trios, here’s a third on the subject on flames and heat. This image caught my eye purely for the look on his face. It makes me yearn to feel like that. He looks lost in the moment. You can see another shot from the same scene here.

The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.

I’m always a fan of doing duos or trios of associated posts. Normally they’re a common femdom theme, but this time I ran with a different approach based on the titles and the lyrics of a certain famous British band.

Technically in this image the flames are clearly not all gone, but I’ll give myself a pass, as I suspect the pain would definitely linger on. She’s certainly focused on pouring the heat onto a particularly delicate area.

Don’t try this at home*

Rope & candles

I don’t feature a lot of posts with female submissive imagery. In fact, looking at my post tagging, there have been around 60 Ff images, out of over 1,200 total posts. That’s not because I don’t appreciate it. I enjoy its aesthetic and can relate to the submissive experience of any gender. The problem is that so many Femdom/Femsub images end up fixated on the submissive at the cost of the dominant and the dynamic between them. They end up being femsub rather than femdom, and I figure there are quite enough pictures of bound and gagged women floating around with a blog about female dominance adding to them.

This image is an example that strikes the right balance for me. The dominant is an integral part of the scene, and it nicely captures a moment of tension. It also continues the Shibari theme from yesterday’s post, which pleases the anal retentive blogger in me. It’s by the artist RedPandaDee and, according to his comment on it, the dominant is Saki Kamijoo and the submissive is Skinny Redhead. You can see a video of Saki Kamijoo at work here.

Tip of the taint

Here’s my BDSM tip of the day: If you’re looking for a particularly painful place to drip candle wax, then the taint is a great go to area. It’s even more painful than the balls or the cock. I acquired this information first hand courtesy of Lydia. I think I may be washing bits of wax out of odd crevices for days to come.

More wax play

I always knew the internet and my readers wouldn’t let me down. No sooner had I put up yesterday’s post about Leonardo DiCaprio, the dominatrix and the candle, than Vista had come through for me with an animated gif of the scene in question. Seeing it makes me wonder if they consulted anyone about the right type of candle to use. There are a lot of good guides to wax play out there (for example this one), but how many movie props departments know about them? I hope Leonardo was just doing a great acting job, because hot wax really shouldn’t be that painful.

I’ll finish with a shot of a quite different wax play scene. There’s a lot less screaming and a lot more smiling in this shot.

Drippy

I love wax play. It combines masochistic pain with a soothing warmth. Unlike a cane strike, where the initial blow is nothing compared to the sting that comes later, wax pain is all about the first splash. Once you’ve survived that, you get to enjoy a beautiful sensation as it slowly cools.

The only problem with it is the days you’ll spend afterwards digging bits of wax out of odd crevices. Sand from the beach has nothing on molten wax.The gentleman in the image below was at least wise enough to shave beforehand. I can personally attest that the pain of hot wax is nothing compared to the pain of someone forcefully scraping cold wax out of pubic hair.

I found this on the Mujeres Dominantes tumblr. Judging by the linked Dick-n-Jane page it seems like this particular candle is more about massage than BDSM, which I personally think is a shame.

Updates to Femdom Image page

I’ve done some housekeeping on the Femdom Image page. Dead and dormant sites have been removed and I’ve added the sites listed below. I’ve also cleaned up a bunch of the old comments that were of the form ‘Please add this’ or ‘Thanks for adding me’. I always appreciate receiving these kind of comments, so please feel free to continue leaving them. I just don’t want the comment thread to grow indefinitely with old comments that are no longer useful to readers.

The image below is from Men in Pain and came to me via the newly added Beyond the Valley of the Femdoms. Having warm wax dripping down on a body isn’t all that uncommon. Suspending the body over the heat of a candle? That’s a rarer sight. No wax drips to worry about, but that rising heat thing must make it interesting.
