Bukakke!

Take two blindfolded dudes, five ladies, an equal number of strap-ons, and a generous helping of whipped cream. Mix liberally and allow things to come to the boil. Makes one fun looking bukakke scene. Note that you should ensure your selected dudes are not lactose intolerant before combining ingredients.

Afternoon Tea

I’ve seen many photographs of mistresses pouring a variety of fluids into the mouths of their submissives. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen tea used before, and certainly never in quite such a decorous fashion. Teabagging is undoubtedly a thing some people are into, but I’ve never heard of teapotting. I wonder where she stuffed the cucumber sandwiches?

Taking high tea in the afternoon is a tradition still occasionally observed in England, so it’s fitting that this charming photograph is from the London based Miss Martinet. If you’re in London or Bristol and fancy being on the receiving end of her whip, cane or teapot, then her contact information is here.

Venus in Furs (cont)

While I’m on the subject of the classic book, it would be remiss of me not to mention the new illustrated edition of it by the immensely talented Sardax. I have a kindle edition, which for reasons that escape me has become hard to track down. Isn’t one of the selling points of electronic books that they don’t go out of print and are always in stock? Anyway, if you’re interested in a copy, Sardax has a collection of links to places carrying the hard copy edition.

I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan of the original story. I’m glad I purchased the Sardax illustrated version, as it’s a book I feel I have to own and his artwork is always a pleasure, but unfortunately I find the primary character and narrator whiny and annoying. The writing is also very much of its time, which means its verbose, meandering and very formal in its language. David Ives was undoubtedly wise to avoid a straight translation of the book, and instead do a play with a play, letting him take the theme but put his own modern twist on it.

Of course, mentioning Sardax gives me an excuse to feature some of his brilliant artwork. This is from his illustrated version of the book.

Venus in Fur

I’ve made passing references to David Ives play Venus in Fur in past posts, but I’ve sadly never made it to the theatre to see it. Fortunately for myself and others who have missed out, it has now been turned into a film. Directed by Roman Polanski, it stars his wife Emmanuelle Seigner, and has been getting good reviews from both mainstream and kinky sources.

This isn’t the first movie from Polanski to explore D/s and sexual power games. His 1992 movie Bitter Moon was packed with kink and twisted sexuality. Even his very early movies, such as Rosemary’s Baby and Repulsion, touched on aspects of sex, power and control.  Given his history, particularly the infamous sexual abuse case, that can make for some uncomfortable viewing, both from a moral and artistic perspective. I’d certainly understand someone not wanting to give him a cut of their movie ticket price. Personally I plan to see it. His classic Chinatown is one of my favorite films and I’m looking forward to seeing what Mr and Mrs Polanski have put together here.

Showing some fetish love

Fetishists don’t get a lot of love. That seems an odd thing to say when the internet is awash in fetish imagery, but I think it’s true. When it comes to kinksters rather than pornographers, it’s a lot more about interpersonal dynamics, shared activities and top/bottom space. That’s true for most kinky blogs, including this one. Sadomasochism and D/s almost always require a complex and negotiated relationship with another person. In contrast fetishism can often come across as selfish, a focus on a thing rather than a person. That objectifying focus is, after all, the definition of fetishism.

I was therefore happy to read Liliane Hunt’s recent post in praise of foot fetishism. I can’t say feet do much for me, but I appreciate her pleasure in it, and her perspective as the fetishistic target. A pleasure shared is a pleasure more than doubled in my experience.

This image originally caught my eye for its composition and symmetry, but what I really like is his cheeky outstretched tongue. There’s a nice interplay between her haughty pose and his playful attitude.

Riding the horse

The tumblr comment on this picture gets it exactly right when it says it’s an uncommon picture of a male riding the wooden horse. This particular torture device crops up fairly often in both artwork and photographs with female submissives, yet almost never with males. I’m not really sure why that is, given that the device was historically used on men, including soldiers in the US civil war. It does seem particularly common in Japanese erotic artwork, so perhaps modern BDSM has taken its cultural cue from there rather than from Western history.

The person in pink

I generally love unusual kinks, even when they are not my own. There’s something quite cheering about seeing people put the effort into getting off in unusual ways. A couple of years ago I wouldn’t even have added the ‘generally’ qualifier to that opening statement. Sadly time brings wisdom. I once mentioned my pleasure in other peoples unusual kinks to a domme, which prompted her to put me straight by relating a fantasy involving defecation and chickens that a client had shared with her. That might not have been the most unpleasant mental image I’ve ever had, but it was certainly in my top five.

Fortunately the image below is from the fun and cheerful side of kink. Heavy bondage can often be portrayed very seriously, so this body cast shot makes a nice change. I particularly like the drawn in eyes, hair bow and bright pink color. An all white cast would be too medical, putting me in mind of the soldier in white from Catch 22. Pink gives it a more playful air. Even the site name has a fun twist – Cast Your Enthusiasm. That’s much more appealing than crudeness like Divine Bitches or Ballbusting Chicks.

Let’s hope the wind doesn’t change

I pull all sorts of odd expressions during play. Hell, I pull all sorts of odd expressions all the time. Just taking the top off a jar or figuring out the tip on a check can generate a wide variety of strange facial contortions. So I’ve a lot of sympathy for the lady below. There she is, putting maximum effort and concentration into caning this guys ass, and she ends up getting caught with this particular snap. I can only hope the gentleman on the receiving end appreciates the effort she’s putting in. Judging by his well marked posterior and his clenched fist that shouldn’t be a problem.
