Learning Curve

This drawing by Arrakis made me smile, but I have to quibble about the reaction of the submissive. I don’t think anyone at the end of a beginner’s beating is going to be bored and strumming their fingers. You never know quite what you’re going to be on the receiving end of. Particularly if there is an implement involved. Only the most leather skinned submissive will be blase about that situation.

  1. I’ve been the recipient of a novices first foray into beating on a number of occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was lucky enough two times to be chosen by an experienced beater to be the receiver when she was training two of her protegees. There’s something magical about being the first person to receive punishment from a newbie however hesitant she may be initially. Both ladies soon got into their stride and since they have both continued to hand out the punishment I assume that they enjoyed the experience. The other time I was punished by a first timer was even more exciting as it happened in front of a reasonably large crowd. I was asked by a Mistress to be her stunt bottom at a convention and after she had demonstrated the use of various implements, strap, paddle and cane, she asked if anyone from the audience would like to try. As it happened only two did and one of them was a man. I’d realised in advance that there was always that possibility so although it’s not something I enjoy I endured his tentative swings of a strap. The lady however seemed to have great fun with a cane and almost had to be dragged of the stage.

    1. That’s actually an excellent subject for a follow-up post. Thanks for the prompt :-).

It is fun being the target for a trainee or a demonstration. Most of my experiences have been with experienced dommes training their protegees, but I also remember a piercing workshop that was a little like your stunt bottom experience. I’m not sure I’ve ever been an official first for anyone, but there is someone exiting about a novice getting to try stuff for the first time. Maybe it’s the element of being useful in a scene rather than simply hedonistic :-).

Thanks for sharing your experiences. And like I said, definitely a good topic for a follow-up!

  2. I have to say that I think this is the “before” drawing. She’s reading the book and is about to strike, not knowing how things feel, she might swing VERY hard. I like to picture the “after” drawing as a very different look!

    1. That made me smile. Yes, it might well be the before shot, after several minutes of reading, and just seconds before a big impact! I like your take on it.
