Continuing my image theme from yesterday’s post of public objectification, here’s a man making himself useful. She gets somewhere comfortable to rest while texting her friends. He gets to provide her with somewhere comfortable to rest while texting her friends. It’s a win-win.
As a side observation, it does seem that the style of public play scenes often differs between Asian countries and US/Europe. Obviously I’m broadly generalizing here, and only going from what photographs show up on-line, so treat this as a very casual observation. But it seems when US/Europeans make a scene in public they do it in a very clearly kinky way, often with props and costumes involved. I’m thinking of images like this or this or this. These feature people who clearly left home with a kinky plan to execute. In contrast a lot of images I’ve featured from Asian countries look like this or this or the image below. They have a more casual look and a sense of normality to them. You can almost believe that they’re going about their daily lives, just with a kinky slant. It’s a style I personally find a lot hotter than the overtly fetishistic public scenes.

I thought the image you displayed on today’s blog was charming – almost akin to the boy giving up his seat to his girl, or perhaps his Domme, when they get on the train.
I would have very great anxieties about public play in the UK, especially your previous post 2, as quoted. I think the couple would now be at great risk of arrest and a charge of ‘Conduct Likely to Cause a Breach of the Peace’ and for the boy to end up on the Sex Offenders Register for ‘Indecent Exposure’. Public play may be OK in the US and continental Europe, (I think your post 3 may be have been staged along Karlavagen in the Ostermalm district of Stockholm) please don’t try this in the UK!

I initially thought the scene of the naked guy in the UK shopping centre was staged. It looks to extreme to pull off otherwise. But when I looked at it again, I’m not so sure. Those things are open 7 days a week, and I doubt a porn company has the clout to get it closed and hire a bunch of people to look like surprised shoppers.
Naked in public is definitely going to run into issues, but I’d assume in big cities you can probably get away with fetish gear and props. Of course if you run into a cop determined to make life difficult for you, then all bets are off!

Americans and their kindred spirits in Europe exert plenty of effort to “create a scene” and as Phil points out, come close to putting themselves at risk for arrest or at the very least, unnecessary harassment.
Spontaneity usually works best. However, both the Dom/me and the sub must be in the proper mindset. Don’t be afraid to avail yourself of your sub. And subs, be ready to make yourself useful.

I suspect with Europe and certainly with the US, what is acceptable depends on when and where. New York City or San Francisco is going to be pretty different to Dallas or Des Moines. In general, there’s certainly more places that’ll get you into trouble than will look the other way!
I’ve nothing against people doing a planned scene with fetish gear, but personally I do agree that spontaneity works better. It’s somehow more ‘real’.
