Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth

My parents and grandparents were the source of all sorts of odd expressions. One I always liked was that ‘she looked liked butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth.’ It referred to someone who was pretending to be very sweet, innocent and blameless when the reality was very much the opposite. It seems appropriate for this particular image.

  1. Cool and collected little devil looks kawaii as hell … It might be prudent to err on the safe side and presume guilt until innocence is proven

    1. I have to admit – I had to go and look up kawaii. Surprised at myself for not knowing that term! And yes, she’s very cool, collected and kawaii. Not to mention guilty as hell!

  2. Mea culpa too! Had to check the correct spelling in the Urban Dictionary. Didn’t want to advertise for dubious digital fake pianos.
