Here’s a third and final post on my recent shoe theme. It’s another fashion one, but this time showing a little love to practical footwear rather than fancy heels. Short boots like this are a very different kind of aesthetic, almost the exact flip side to fancy heels. Their aggressive, utilitarian, with a possible hint of punk. As is so often in kink and fetish, the big visual appeal exists on the extreme ends of the spectrum of choices.

Gotta admit that these are the fetish boots of my preference . . . I even run a pansexual Tumblr blog focusing on them. It’s probably my own discomfort in high heels (can’t walk or be comfortable in ’em, how would I feel powerful in ’em?) and just not being a fan of a stiletto point for the application of pressure.
Well, that and probably a good dose of the powerful associations with the military, punks, etc.. Oh, and bootblacking (not that you can’t do that with femme heeled boots, but doesn’t seem as common).
I should really do a series of posts on these kind of more industrial utilitarian boots. I like them as well, and I’m not sure I’ve ever really featured them heavily. Thanks for the comment.
